Hank Rizzoli (portrayed by Ray Romano) is a photographer who hires Sarah Braverman in Season 4 and later becomes romantically involved with her. He eventually marries Sarah in the series finale.

Life[]

Season 4[]

Hank is introduced as a photographer who is hired to take the Braverman family portrait. He gives Sarah a job trial run, and eventually hires her even though she has no photography experience. While working with each other, they grow close, which leads up to Hank kissing her. Sarah breaks it off since she is still engaged to Mark Cyr.

When Sarah accompanies Hank in a job in LA while missing her romantic weekend with Mark, they get drunk and run into Mark. Mark assumes that Sarah is into Hank, and he breaks off the engagement. Shortly after Sarah begins seeing Hank, only for him to leave for Minnesota to be closer to his daughter, Ruby. He tells Sarah he loves her before leaving.

Season 5[]

Hank returns to Berkeley after living in Minnesota doesn't work out to his liking. He becomes friends with Sarah again, who has become a serious photographer. After she beats him out for a photography job, she offers him a position as her assistant, which he eventually takes. They remain friends throughout the season.

Max also starts hanging out with Hank as he learns how to take pictures. Hank and Max grow to become close friends, which causes Hank to question his personality. Hank figures out he has Asperger syndrome, a subtype of autism, after reading a book to help him understand Max. He develops feelings for Sarah again, and the two get back together in the season finale.

Season 6[]

Hank helps out with Ruby when his ex-wife moves her and Ruby back to Berkley. Hank comes to terms with his Asperger's. He works on improving his flaws for the sake of Sarah. He struggles with raising a now teenage Ruby, who rebels against him and Sandy. Hank proposes to Sarah near the end of the season, and they get married in the series finale.
